Over the past 30 years, we’ve grown to a national social service agency of 700+ staff.The PositionWJS Canada is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Intern, to assist with marketing, communications, and rebranding efforts. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in organizational rebranding and contribute to a pivotal strategic initiative that will shape the future of our organization.The ideal candidate will work closely with the Communications Specialist to implement rebranding strategies, update documents and files, and support communications initiatives during this transitional period.Schedule:
One (1) temporary, part-time position that is expected to be 2-3 months in duration.
- Schedule of 24-32 hours per week (i.e. 3-4 days), conducted during standard office hours, Monday through Friday.
- Position provides option to work remotely from the successful intern’s home office, or, on-site at the Central Administration office in Maple Ridge, BC.

In Your Role You Will
- Collaborate with the Communications team to identify and prioritize tasks related to the rebrand.
- Assist in the development and updating of organizational files and documents.
- Provide administrative support for rebranding efforts and communications activities.
- Support social media efforts on organization’s platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of InDesign, Adobe Suite, or Canva is an asset.
Required Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
