Come join us this season!  The Viticulture Intern will perform regular visits to contracted vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen regions, assisting the Viticulture & Grower Relations teams with seasonal various data collection including vineyard scouting for vine health monitoring, crop estimates, sampling for nutrition monitoring, potential ongoing trials and grape maturity sampling. 
What this teammate will be responsible for –

Assist the Grower Relations team with field scouting for phenology and various vineyard issues, as well as various data collection in APL contracted vineyards 
Assist the Viticulture team with the crop estimation process and sampling for nutrient analysis 
Perform vineyard maturity sampling at harvest
Provide support to the Estate vineyard Team on ongoing projects as needed.
Provide logistical support at harvest as needed.Understand and follow all safety protocols

The skills, experience and knowledge this teammate will bring –

Vitiiculture or Plant Science coursework required.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong Computer skills, including Excel and Word, GIS software experience a plus.
Wine Industry experience a plus.
Must be a self-starter with strong work ethic – this position involves working independently for extended periods of time with expectations to remain on task.
Good communication skills – verbal and written.
Valid drivers license
This position involves long drives. A vehicle will be provided.

Competitive hourly wage: $20-25/hr
