What is The Role

Storytellers wanted! Are you ready to take your career in communications to the next level with a global tech leader? Elastic is looking for a Specialist, Executive & Internal Communications, to join our growing team.

This isn’t a typical role, where you’ll only focus on operations behind the scenes. You’ll also be on the front lines, helping to tell stories across all forms of media, from crafting that perfect picture for social media to polishing presentations for all-hands.

In this role, you’ll not only help employees understand our mission and vision as a company, but you’ll also help the world see the vision set by our executives. This is your chance to learn about two major comms fields while working at a tech company that’s a foundational part of AI.

What You Will be Doing

Keep the team organized

  • Maintain our editorial calendar: Track editorial requests and build out a schedule of content across internal and external channels, including intranet, newsletter, all-hands, and LinkedIn.
  • Handle incoming exec requests: Triage requests for our executives, including media interviews, speaking opportunities and article proposals.
  • All-hands production: Help ensure the company all-hands runs smoothly, working with teams on their content, keeping everyone on track, and sharing the recording afterward.
  • Newsletter coordination: Take the lead on publishing the company newsletter, gathering news, getting approvals, and hitting the send button.
  • Editorial operations: Maintain and update task-tracking boards, create reports to measure the effectiveness of our communications, and take on special projects.

Be a content producer

  • Create and source content for internal: Find stories that will get our Elasticians excited about the future of Elastic, build our company culture, and connect our employees with each other and the leadership team.
  • Pitch posts for LinkedIn: Propose content for executives to share on LinkedIn, based on company news and events, and industry trends.
  • Be a pitch machine: Dream up ideas that can make a difference for our employees, executives, and external audiences, then take the concept from pitch to production.

What You Bring:
  • 4-5 years of experience in communications, PR, social media, marketing, or journalism.
  • Great writing and organization skills. You’re a pro at keeping details tight and deadlines on track. And you are an ace at writing the perfect caption for a social post at a moment’s notice, or coming up with a dozen different angles to tell a story.
  • Digital savvy. You’re at home on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. You know what content works best on each platform.
  • Passion for AI, open source, or tech. You don’t need to be an expert, but you’re curious and eager to learn.
  • Someone who loves a fast-paced and creative work environment.
