Job Description:

This role requires onsite presence at the Demonware Vancouver office following a hybrid schedule (3 days a week). A relocation package may be offered based on eligibility.

Technologies & Impact

We handle millions of concurrent users using technologies like Python, Linux, MySQL, C++, and Erlang. Co-op students have immediate impact, with some producing production code within days of joining.

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating multiplayer features into games like Call of Duty.
• Develop plugins and extend automation frameworks.
• Build core features for allocation and provisioning systems.
• Scale and support our Kubernetes platform.
• Create tools and automations for distributed systems.
• Maintain multiple Kubernetes clusters across data centers.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement solutions.
• Participate in design and code reviews.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a post-secondary program or within 1 year of graduation.
• Strong programming skills.
• Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Familiarity with Linux and source control (git preferred).
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• SQL database knowledge (MySQL preferred).
• Networking knowledge (TCP, UDP).
• Experience with multi-platform development, security, scalability, REST APIs, Kubernetes, and Go.
