Project Intern

M3 Development Management is excited to be searching for a Project Intern to compliment and support our highly effective project management team on a minimum 12-month term. The ideal individual will be organized, with excellent attention to detail, and be driven to be an active participant in their own learning and professional development. The M3 Project Intern will support the development management team on a variety of fast paced, challenging, exciting and collaborative projects to develop their skills and resume through hands on experience.

A Day in the Life:

At M3, no two days look alike. The Project Intern will develop their understanding of Project Management First Principles in real world applications and receive experience with different phases of the typical project lifecycle. This role will give exposure to project communication strategies, approaches to time management and cost control, as well as things like schedule management and general administrative initiatives that are crucial to project delivery.

On your resume and cover letter, we’ll be looking for the following:

• Actively working towards post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Quantity Surveying, or closely related field. Candidates who have already completed their post secondary education prior to the work term with M3 will not be eligible.
• Post-secondary or extracurricular examples of projects you have worked on.
• Excellent computer and software skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and quality results.

During the interview process, we’ll be looking for:

• How well you communicate, gather your thoughts and express yourself.
• Your ability to show up on time, stay organized and deliver results.
• Your previous experience working collaboratively.
• Why development management interests you.

Your references will demonstrate:

• Examples of how critical thinking has helped you solve complex issues.
• Your commitment to quality through real life examples.
• Your communication style with team members and key stakeholders.
