Product Engineering (Co-op)

Job Summary
We are seeking a 3rd year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student to work within our Development Engineering Team, for a 4 month Co-op Term. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members in providing support to various products manufactured at S&C and will gain exposure to engineering design principles as well as manufacturing techniques.

Work Term: Fall 2025
Work Arrangement: Onsite 5x per week (Mon – Fri)
Work Location: 90 Belfield Rd., Etobicoke, ON

Job Responsibilities

• Design revisions using Solid Edge 3D CAD software
• Support Development Team projects; exposure to mechanics, electronics, high power electrical, software and systems engineering
• Investigate product designs to meet customer requirements
• Assist with product testing (mechanical, electrical, software)
• Responsible for managing short duration projects from initial concept to prototyping to implementation

Qualifications

• 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong interest in power systems engineering
• Able to work a 4 Month Co-op Work Term for the Fall of 2025 (Sept-Dec)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• A team player who is also able work to independently under supervision of a senior team member
• Structured problem-solving experience and exposure to Lean principles
• Quick learner
• Experience using 3D modelling tools such as, Solid Edge, is a strong asset
• Experience with product development testing, an asset
