Aviva realizes the importance of crafting internships as a means to develop talent to meet future requirements for entry-level insurance roles.The Corporate Procurement team is looking for a Procurement intern! The Procurement summer intern will be responsible for coordinating various Procurement initiatives to be tracked and managed to improve the team’s workload management, oversight, and to provide improved visibility to business stakeholders. The intern will also be involved in quality assurance and reporting to assist the governance function.Aviva Canada has adopted a hybrid return-to-office model. This role will require you to work in the Toronto or Markham office.What you’ll do:Helping coordinators capture intake of requests into trackersReport generation and distributionUpdating various workbooks based on report extractionConduct QA of procurement compliance and processSupport Procurement Enablement team in preparation of presentation decks such as supplier / governance forums and townhallsContribute to transformation initiatives by identifying and proposing opportunity areas for lean improvement in existing business processesResponsible for assisting full time staff with short term projects to meet business requirementsOther duties as assigned by managerWe’re excited about you because:You’re passionate and thoughtful when it comes to offering an amazing customer experienceYou aren’t afraid to work in a dynamic environment and learn new processesOrganization is your strength and you love staying on top of projectsYou get creative when it comes to problem solvingYou’ll collaborative with teammates, have strong communication skills, and build relationships easilyWhat you need to succeed:Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or related field or equivalent.Demonstrates a desire to go above and beyond and hunger to learn and growAbility to read and follow process diagramsExperience in Visio or similar tools an assetAbility to adjust with minimal supervision where priorities may shift due to changing business needsProficient in the use of Excel (knows at the minimum how to use basic formulas, pivot table, etc)Strong verbal and written communicator with high caliber, professional business demeanorPervious Insurance program or work experience is an assetHave a minimum 2.75 GPA or B averagePlease limit your application to one role at the location of your choice based on your interests.
