Are you a Mechanical Engineering student eager to get hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment? Element5 is looking for motivated Summer Students to join our Engineering team and support a variety of exciting projects at our manufacturing plant in St. Thomas, ON!

What You’ll Do

As a Mechanical Engineering Summer Student, you’ll work alongside engineers and technicians on real-world challenges, including:

• Assisting with mechanical design using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Supporting preventative maintenance and production improvement initiatives
• Analyzing mechanical systems to improve efficiency and reliability
• Preparing technical documentation and reports
• Participating in troubleshooting and root cause investigations
• Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams

What You Bring

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related post-secondary program
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, drafting, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in both office and plant environments (PPE provided)
