There are two sub groups within the team, Trading, which provides trading services and market insight to all of PSP and Trade Analytics which oversees Transaction Cost Analysis, commission management and market structure initiatives.ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Intern, Trading and Trade Analytics, you’ll:Learn about all the financial instruments that are executed by the trading teamBe exposed and learn how a market view is expressedHave a close view on the different tools used to trade derivatives and cash productsParticipate in the transaction lifecycle support including the order creation, execution and settlementLiaise with internal business partners such as the Front Office, Back Office, Risk, Compliance and IT service delivery groupsAssist in maintaining proper documentation of operational proceduresAssist in the optimization of operational procedures via tool automationWork with the Trading team on monitoring market developmentsAssist in implementing new trading tools as well as maintain existing toolsWHAT YOU’LL NEEDEnrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce, with a concentration in FinanceAcademic knowledge of financial productsExcellent level of proficiency with MS-Office toolsDemonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive researchEffective communications skills, both written and spokenAttention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentationAbility to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clientsBilingualism required (fluency in French and English)Programming skills (SQL, VBA, Python), an assetMust return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculumProficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position.
