We advocate for our employees to speak-up, learn, experiment, share, and be part of an where diversity is embraced.ABOUT THE TEAMThe Chief Investment Officer group is responsible to determine and manage the Total Fund’s risk-return profile, provide tools and insights that help investment groups manage risks and identify investment opportunities as well as promote knowledge management and knowledge sharing throughout PSP. The CIO group also encompasses the Strategic Communications and Global Government Affairs team, as well as the Sustainability and Climate Innovation team. The Total Fund Integration Group (TFI) is part of the Total Fund Management Group (TFM) who is responsible for designing the policy portfolio as well as maintaining and improving its alignment with the desired risk-return profile, based on the central economic scenario.ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Intern, Total Fund Integration, you’ll:Participate in the investment support structure to effectively manage requests for new types of financial instruments, mandates, strategies, brokers/counterparties, and markets. This entails managing the requests from the front office and coordinating with internal and external business partners as requiredActively participate in the production and improvement of management and investment reporting pertaining to Total Fund Management activities and any other reporting requested by the Board of Directors, Senior Vice-President and/or other stakeholdersAssist in conducting (product and mandate specific) business process reviews and optimizations for the Group.WHAT YOU’LL NEEDEnrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce or Master’s degree, with a concentration in FinanceKnowledge of financial productsExcellent level of proficiency with MS-Office toolsProgramming skills (SQL, Python, MATLAB, etc.), an assetDemonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive researchAttention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentationAbility to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clientsExcellent focus on details and good organizational skillsEffective communications skills, both written and spoken.Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculumProficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position.
