You will participate to deliver software solutions to our pension professionals and develop tools to enhance our internal development capability. During your time at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, you will also explore new technologies and tools unrelated to your regular project work and deliver presentations to your peers.Working in a fast-paced team environment, you will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to a team where your input is valued. Make a difference in the Product Engineering team!Who you’ll work withYou will be reporting directly to the Manager, Product Engineering and working in an open collaborative space, harnessing the knowledge of your colleagues to ensure the delivery of quality software solutions. With support from a mentor, you will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues across the organization such as business leads, project delivery team and designers.What you’ll doCollaborate with your team members to ensure the delivery of quality software to the business while making recommendations for improvementParticipate in test scripting and automation scripts and ensuring optimization of test casesExplore new technology and tools and apply this knowledge through solution deliveryIdentify root cause of issues, debug defects and provide recommendations on solutionsAssist in building test automation framework and participate in environment set upLearn the real-world usage of version control and code reviews (Github), automated build (Maven/Jenkins), and continuous integration (Atlassian Bamboo)What you’ll needProgram of study in IT, Mathematics, Computer Science, or EngineeringExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsEnjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented environmentInterest in technology and innovation, along with Test Scripting & Automation ScriptsExperience using object-oriented programming patterns and designs, with exposure to technologies such as: Java, C#, Python, JavaScript frameworksProfessional software development experience from previous work terms (preferred but not required)Please note that although the deadline for this posting is January 26th, 2025, we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.
