Intern, Junior Cook
Passionate about cooking with an eye for aesthetics and detail?
Under the supervision of the head chef, the intern plays an essential role in assisting the senior cooks/head chef with various food preparation tasks.
We have fall internship opportunities located at Le Germain Hotel Maple Leaf Square in Downtown Toronto for a period varying between 3 to 6 months starting this September 2025.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring they are measured, chopped and organized as per the Chef’s instructions
- Work closely with kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely service
- Actively seek opportunities to learn and enhance culinary skills
- Willingness to assist in different sections of the kitchen as needed
- Operate all kitchen equipment and conduct themselves with safety in mind at all times
- Other task as required
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Culinary school diploma or Experience in full service restaurant
- Ability to work within a team
- Good communication skills
- Able to lift/carry/push supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand for up to 5 hours at a time
