We advocate for our employees to speak-up, learn, experiment, share, and be part of an where diversity is embraced.ABOUT THE TEAMThe Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting team’s main responsibilities are to perform the monthly accounting of PSP’s operations and to prepare the quarterly and annual financial statements of PSP and its four pension plans, as well as other stand-alone financial statements. The team works collaboratively with other business groups to adhere to the set deadlines.ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Intern, Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting, you’ll assist the team in their daily operations and projects in ways that allow you to experience typical functions of corporate accounting and financial reporting, such as:Preparing journal entries as well as the supporting working files for the month-end and quarter-end close processesAiding in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and supplemental reportsAssisting with ad-hoc requests and/or in the preparation of other reportsWHAT YOU’LL NEEDUndergraduate degree in Accounting or final year of degree with most accounting courses having been completedTechnical requirements: Excel and MS OfficeAbility to navigate a fast-pace environment with a high level of autonomyEffective communications skills, both written and spokenAttention to detailAbility to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleaguesEagerness to learnProficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position.
