Intern, Benefits Administrator

This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11,
2026, until August 28, 2026.

Job Summary

The Intern, Benefits Administrator is responsible for working on
the management of the group benefits plans, wellness programs, and other
programs and policies. The role supports the Benefits team on ongoing projects,
such as the implementation of a new group with the administrator, as well as
union negotiations, renewals, redesign, financial management of the plans, and
review of policies and processes to ensure best practices. The incumbent is
also involved in the daily operations of all programs, through the management
of vendors, support to the employees and internal clients.

Major Responsibilities

  • Handle
    benefits financial aspects, prepare renewals, does financial analysis, and
    projections for budgeting, reporting and strategic decisions
  • Help
    in the analysis of costs impact for negotiation of collective agreements
  • Support
    the daily management of Health and Wellness programs and develop
    initiatives
  • Support
    the existing recognition program, such as the People Awards for
    Excellence, and Service Awards

Requirements

  • Good
    knowledge of group insurance in Canada
  • Solid
    analytical skills
  • Good
    organizational and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge
    of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Fluently
    bilingual both written and verbal (English and French)*

Education

  • Bachelor’s
    Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Administration, or equivalent

*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above
would be considered as an asset
