Together, we’ll push boundaries and go above what’s expected of us to meet the challenges of tomorrow and engineer a better world!We are seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist/Intern Architect to join our Buildings Group (C2 Architecture Inc) in our Mississauga or Bowmanville office, in a hybrid work model. As an Intermediate Architectural Technologist/Intern Architect, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career in a collaborative, team-based environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects in multiple sectors, including transit, commercial, education, healthcare, and federal.Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project team to prepare conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and construction documents for a variety of projects.
- Assist in integrating multi-disciplinary input into the design process, including working with specialists in areas such as traffic engineering, transportation safety, stormwater management, geotechnical engineering, and environmental/ecology.
- Support the preparation of presentation materials and renderings for client and public consultations.
- Provide assistance with contract administration services and/or construction inspection as needed.
- Participate in internal and external professional development opportunities to continue building architectural knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to the creation of written materials, such as proposals, design briefs, meeting reports, and other non-drafting tasks related to the architectural design process.
- Assist with design development and reviews for ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Certified Technologist
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in architectural drafting and design.
- Experience with architectural design and drafting software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- A self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- A strong desire to learn and grow within the architectural field.
- LEED and/or Passive House accreditation is a plus but not required.
