This includes processing of criminal record checks, collaborating closely with securities commissions to exchange confidential information and working to process internal and external requests for research and other departmental tasks. Working together with IS team members, the Listing staff and other operational departments, the Intern will be required to ensure requests are accurately processed and meet established timelines. The Intern will also assist with researching and writing due diligence reports.Reports to: Manager, Investigative ServicesKey Accountabilities:Process criminal record checks and update departmental databases with relevant informationLiaise with regulatory and law enforcement contacts; exchange confidential information pertaining to investigative filesProcess external research requests to external vendorsAssist in expense reporting and maintaining departmental statisticsAssist in implementing operational improvement initiatives and projects within the teamAct as a point of contact for customer inquiries and completing departmental tasksPrepare extensive research using databases, print sources and industry contactsAnalyze and summarize pertinent legal, regulatory and financial industry recordsAssist in departmental projectsMust haves:Pursuing a Post-Secondary Degree with preferred focus on Information Studies, Business/Commerce, Finance, Political Science or EconomicsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and an organized individual that can work independentlyStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExcels in research skills: experience using commercial online databases (such as LexisNexis and Factiva) and internet search enginesExperience providing excellent client service in a team oriented environmentNice to haves:Canadian Securities Course (CSC)Google Suite application and SalesforceNote:Hybrid role: 2 days per week in the downtown Toronto office4 month Co-op / Internship: May 5, 2025 – August 22, 2025In order to be considered for the position, you are required to submit your Knockri AssessmentIn the market for…Excitement – Explore emerging technology and innovation, as well as ventures and digital finance that shape the future of global markets!
