We are looking for a Human Resources Co-op Student to join our team for the Summer (May-August) term!
As a Human Resources Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and more. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a career in HR and looking to develop practical skills in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including drafting role profiles, posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation and assisting with orientation sessions.
- Maintain HR records and ensure employee data is up to date in HR systems.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as social event planning and wellness programs.
- Assist with HR communications, including assisting with drafting emails, policies, company newsletter, and internal announcements.
- Assist with corporate travel bookings and tradeshow logistics
- Provide support for training and development programs.
- Assist with HR compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment regulations.
- Assist in the development of company presentations.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the HR team.
- Other ad hoc general office tasks as required such as mail/couriers, data entry, office errands, etc.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment.
