Job Posting Title: HR InternReq ID: 10111380Job Description:This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work 2-3 days onsite at a Company designated location and occasionally from home.The HR Intern role with Industrial Light & Magic presents an opportunity for a current student from an accredited public post secondary school to work alongside ILM’s Human Resources department to research, investigate, plan and execute a project promoting organizational development within a fast-paced live working environment. The HR function at ILM is central to business operations, closely partnering with leadership to achieve consistently high standards across a broad spectrum of HRM.What You Need to KnowThe HR Intern role is a paid 4 month placement from May to August 2025 with the possibility for extension (up to 8 months)This role is considered Hybrid, which means you will work onsite at our Vancouver studio and occasionally from homeYou will be required to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pmWe do not provide assistance for relocation, housing, transportation, or work authorization for InternshipsYou must be a Canadian Citizen or hold Canadian Permanent Resident status and be residing in British ColumbiaYou must be enrolled in a public, post-secondary school and will return to your studies upon completion of your internship with ILMWhat You’ll DoAdminister day-to-day personnel changes and edits including using current systems to update information and communicate changesAdminister Employment Agreement processes including creation, paperwork flow, database, personnel record forms, reporting and manager communication for renewalsAdminister project employee renewals including extensions, tracking of exit dates, database, reporting and status communication with managementCreate and maintain employee personnel filesFollow up with payroll, benefits, HRIS and accounting to ensure that requests are carried out and information is coordinatedAudit data across systems to ensure accuracyMaintain electronic filing systemsAssist with running HR-related events, sending emails: new hire meet and greet, open house Toy DriveSupport HR team with HR related onboarding tasksManage special projects as requestedWhat We’re Looking ForStudies in film, art, theatre, communications, HR, business or related field preferredPrevious experience in an administrative support role will be an assetUnderstand industry and business in order to effectively execute all areas of the roleExperience working in a high-paced environmentExcellent computer skillsTechnologically savvy, with a working knowledge of Google Workspace preferredDemonstrated ability to learn quickly electronic systems and softwareStrong analytical and organizational skillsConfidence to manage sensitive and confidential situations effectively and professionallySkilled multi-tasker and strong self-directed work ethicComfortable to communicate with all levels of employees and understand cultural differencesExcellent interpersonal, and communication skills (both oral and written)Proven ability to interact effectively within the department, across and outside the organizationProven ability to work efficiently, effectively as part of a team, and independently where assignedThe pay rate for this role in Vancouver is C$25.00 per hour.
