Position: Finance Intern/ Co-Op

The company currently operates 30 retail units, in addition to serving over 800 wholesale partners and over 15,000 e-commerce customers. BLFC is positioned for leadership in Canada’s food and beverage landscape. Our current brand portfolio includes Village Juicery, Dark Horse Espresso, Detour Coffee, Dear Grain Bakery, and Tori’s Bakeshop.
As a Finance Intern/Co-Op, you will play an integral role in our team and will be responsible for managing various bookkeeping tasks. The role requires comfort with working with numbers, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Record financial transactions in QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Assist in month-end financial processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and team members as needed
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a business, accounting or a finance program at a post-secondary institution
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Schedule:
- Duration: 4-6 months internship/ Co-op
- Work Environment: Hybrid (2-3 days in office)
Ability to commute/relocate
- Mississauga, Toronto: Reliably able to commute or relocate
