Finance Intern

Job Summary

Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Intern will support the internal and external financial reporting process by completing tasks and projects which support the Finance function and provide an opportunity to learn about the business and provide insights and process improvements.

This is a full-time internship role for the term of :  August  2025 – July 2026 

Responsibilities

• Assist the accounting team in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Assist in the month-end process
• Perform financial statement analysis
• Assist in ad hoc accounting policy work and strategic projects
• Assist in the preparation of information required to communicate key messages to leadership
• Create flow charts and spreadsheets in support of various projects
• Ongoing tracking and reporting of financial metrics
• Assist in the preparation and design of PowerBI reports and/or bots relevant to the business and strategy

Qualifications & Education

• Must be enrolled in a relevant college or university program, returning to school after co-op completion
• Exposure and knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced analysis skills in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with PowerBI/Python as it applies to financial processes is an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical personnel
