  • Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Nisku area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
  • By May 5, 2025, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting).

SummaryAs part of a team developing automation solutions for the drilling industry, the Electrical Engineering intern will have the opportunity to develop electrical and control system solutions based on engineering principles and gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technologies to build the next generation of oilfield equipment.Responsibilities

  • Assist Electrical and Computer engineers in the development of modern drilling control systems
  • Learn and work with variable frequency drives, power electronics and low-voltage power distribution systems
  • Create and maintain bills of materials, assembly drawings, test procedures, and other technical documents
  • Work and develop IIOT technology solutions
  • Assist electrical systems teams with panel assembly, testing, and commissioning, and various projects

Knowledge & SkillsMotivated hard worker with excellent communication skillsComfortable with Hands-on electrical workEducationCompletion of a minimum of 2nd year in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics or equivalent. And pursuing further education in Engineering in the fallExperienceMinimum of 1-2 years of related work experience in developing electrical control systems is an asset. Experience can be acquired through lectures and labs.
