Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in areas such as: compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax
• Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and/or ASPE
• Manage client files and conduct inventory counts
• Perform accounts receivable, payable, asset acquisition/disposition, and payroll walkthroughs with clients
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Assess audit evidence for various financial entries
• Review and correct discrepancies in financial reports
• Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries
• Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations
• Collaborate with client teams and build relationships
• Contribute to process improvements using internal systems
• Maintain flexibility to travel as needed

Skills And Experience

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance preferred)
• Prerequisites for CPA PEP
• Accounting office experience is an asset
• Customer/client service experience is an asset
• Experience with accounting/tax software is an asset
