Co-op/Intern
Under direct supervision, performs various tasks for the Curtiss‐Wright professional staff. May perform tasks that are administrative, analytical, mechanical, technical and/ or research based in nature. An Intern/Co‐op typically represents a college student trying to gain related work experience while pursuing an undergraduate degree. Generally, the Intern/Co‐op program is three months long, however, this may vary by function.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Seismic and test fixturing support.
- Assist with Linkedin CWNC updates.
- Equipment logistical moves throughout the organization.
- Quotations support with managing due dates and who they are assigned to.
- 6S training and visual workplace implementation.
- Technical drawing support and organization.
- Materials receipt and disposition as required by Quality Assurance.
- Assistance in the review of controlled documents to achieve the following:
- Determine which documents are current and which should be moved to archive folder.
- Review currently used documents to ensure that they are issued with CWNC name, CW logo; that they provide references to currently used documents and current editions of standards.
- Upon completion of the review, perform editorial changes, as applicable.
- Assist in documenting QA-related cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist in periodic verifications of process compliance: ITPs kept up-to-date, production identification.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an improved system for status indicators.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the company Quality Program.
- Ability to follow and create work instructions.
- Time management, multi-tasking, and communicating daily.
- Work as a team member and participate in activities to improve operations and the facility.
- Understand the workload and work overtime as needed to support business objectives.
- Assists other personnel as required.
- Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
Representative Qualifications:
- Pursuing Degree in Engineering Field.
- Superior communication (written and oral) skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
