AI Intern – Applied Artificial Intelligence & Workflow Automation

We are seeking a forward-thinking AI Intern to support senior leadership in building AI-driven tools, automating workflows, improving efficiency, and modernizing decision-making across the business.

What You Will Do
You will work directly with management to:
- Build & deploy internal AI tools to support HR, safety, project controls, and admin processes
- Develop AI-powered automations to reduce manual work & streamline communication
- Create internal chatbots or retrieval systems for policies, manuals & documentation
- Assist teams in implementing AI solutions in day-to-day operations
- Research AI use-cases that deliver measurable value in construction & heavy civil environments
- Prototype tools using Python, APIs, automation platforms (Zapier/PowerAutomate/etc.)
- Evaluate LLMs, compare tools, run small pilots & present findings to leadership
Your success = producing working solutions that reduce admin time and increase clarity & speed of decision-making.
What You Bring
Technical Strengths
- Experience with AI/ML, prompt engineering or LLM applications
- Python, data handling or automation experience (nice to have)
- Understanding of machine learning workflows or cloud tools
- Familiarity with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, API integration, or RAG systems
Soft Skills (equally important):
- Curiosity + initiative — you like solving problems
- Ability to translate technical solutions for non-technical people
- Strong written/verbal communication
- Desire to build real tools with real impact — not just theoretical work
