Working for Pembina means working safely.Overview:Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Intern Student to join the team for an 8 to 12-month term, starting in September 2025 or January 2026. This position reports to the Manager, Process & Performance in the Supply Chain Service Unit (SCM), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division.Guided by Pembina’s values, Supply Chain collaborates with the Business Units ensuring that all supply chain activities are executed with the highest standards of ethics and integrity and are in strict adherence to Pembina’s policies. Supply Chain delivers strategic value to the organization by optimizing technology for material acquisition, inventory carrying, transportation, and planning costs.Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Gain an understanding of various supply chain functions and disciplines;
  • Develop presentation and selling skills with the ability to influence;
  • Participate in team meetings and required training sessions;
  • Receive coaching from a team member to support learning activities; and
  • Learn the functions of different areas within supply chain and the IT applications used by the division.

Procurement

  • Review purchase requisitions to ensure proper documentation for securing goods or services;
  • Support obtaining quotes from suppliers and summarizing cost comparisons for advisors; and
  • Issue and maintain purchase orders as required for business units.

Sourcing and Contracting

  • Perform contract amendments and pricing updates;
  • Provide analytical support for price comparisons and supplier performance metrics; and
  • Support competitive sourcing events, including administering events in the Ariba sourcing platform.

Enablement

  • Support and participate in the design, development, and roll-out of new initiatives, processes, and procedures;
  • Develop time management skills by participating in multiple projects with deadlines;
  • Learn the analytics platform to ensure visibility on overall organizational spend;
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures;
  • Develop change management skills and engage with diverse stakeholders across the division and company; and
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of documents/files on Microsoft SharePoint.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in post-secondary institution pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations/Logistics, or Finance/Accounting;
  • Proven people/project leadership throughout academic career (on- or off-campus);
  • Effective presentation and team-building skills;
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Energetic, upbeat, and motivated;
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to generate superior results under tight deadlines and competing priorities;
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills, familiarity with other MS applications preferred;
  • Comfortable with technology and learning various applications;
  • Willingness to commit to an 8 to 12-month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
