We are proud to be partnering with a well established architectural firm in Vancouver as they search for a skilled Intern Architect or recently registered Architect to join their busy office. Specializing in sustainably designed projects across a range of sectors, this firm boasts an impressive portfolio of work and fosters a collaborative and progressive environment.THE JOB
As an Intern Architect or recently registered architect with the AIBC, you will be involved in the following:Project Manage different elements of projects, across several projects simultaneouslyWorks energetically with the project team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.Liaise with clients through project phasesManage various subconsultant teams on projectsSite visits and site reviewsPrepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings.Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to QA/QC and Best Practice standards.Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staffFosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership TeamReviews completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations for coordination.Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues.Participates in project reviews regarding project costs, budgets and adherence to schedule.Applies proper QA/QC methods throughout the project.Foster seamless communication between project teams to ensure fluid coordination and execution.WHAT’S REQUIREDA relevant degree in architecture or relatedEligible for registration as an Intern Architect or Architect with AIBC3 – 7 years of post graduate experienceA keen eye for design, with a portfolio that highlights innovative, modern, and sustainable solutions.Experience with community and recreational projects is highly desirableExcellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.A collaborative mindset and a passion for pushing the boundaries of architectural design.Strong knowledge of building code and bylaws in BCExcellent Revit skillsStrong sense of work ethic, honest and have a collaborative approachWHAT YOU GET IN RETURNCollaborative team environmentHybrid work modelOpportunities for advancement over timeGreat mentorshipBe involved in high level design and sustainability focused workWHAT TO DO NOW
