About the team you are joining
You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of
aviation domain and data experts managing Global Aviation Data Management
programs and serving as a trusted industry custodian of operational and safety
data exchanges.
Candidates applying for this job need to be
recent graduates, available to start quickly, and work on a full-time basis (40
hours per week), for at least 6 months.
The
monthly allowance for internships at IATA Montreal is $2,750 CAD, subject to

What your day would be like
▪ Support design, build, test and maintain the data model, data flow architecture or pipeline, data analytics and visualization
▪ Support data pre-processing, cleaning and other activities to enhance data quality
▪ Help assessment of data-analytics problems, production of business intelligence and meaningful insights to support challenges
▪ Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs
▪ Relevant administrative support, as needed
▪ Communicate findings to management through data visualizations and reports
We would love to hear from you if
you meet the following criteria:
▪ An undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, operational research, applied mathematics, statistics, data science or relevant discipline.
▪ Knowledge in data modelling, data cleaning, ETL, SQL, quantitative analytics, machine learning, deep learning and data visualization
▪ Python and machine learning libraries (Keras, Tensorflow, Pytorch, etc.), database tools (Talend, MongoDB, Snowflake, etc.) or BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) would be an asset
▪ Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
▪ Good communication skills, both written and verbal
▪ Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
▪ Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
▪ Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
