Key responsibilities include advising and sharing knowledge with the business in emerging technologies with potential for tangible impacts (e.g. machine learning, NLP, best technology practices, etc.) as well as ideating and incubating in the launch of cross-functional projects that leverage those technologies.ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Intern, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, you’ll:Develop and Optimize Generative AI Pipelines: Assist in the development and optimization of existing generative AI pipelines and agents, particularly focusing on NLP and generative AI frameworksResearch and Idea Generation: Read and analyze research papers to provide innovative ideas to enhance the performance and efficiency of our AI modelsEvaluation Framework Development: Contribute to the ongoing project of building an evaluation framework for LLMs, utilizing a “LLM as a judge” approachData Manipulation: Utilize Python for manipulating both structured and unstructured data. Experience with PySpark is a bonusCollaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, DevOps, and Business Analysts to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI solutionsAgent Network for Global Alpha: Contribute to the development of an agent network aimed at optimizing global alpha generation strategiesLLM Evaluation Framework: Assist in the continuation of the evaluation framework project, utilizing an LLM as a judgeWHAT YOU’LL NEEDBSc in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or any equivalent degree from a recognized universityBasic programing, ability to work with databases and visualization tools an asset (e.g., SQL, Python, NLP, Power BI)Ability to contribute in the ideation and management of technology enabled business innovationExperience with linear and non-linear optimization techniquesExperience with NLP and Generative AI frameworks (Langchain, Llama Index, Autogen, Mosaic AI)Ability to handle structured and unstructured data (Spark knowledge is a plus)Knowledge of Traditional Machine Learning, Generative AI workflows (Data Ingestion, RAG, LLM Prompting, LLM-as-a-judge)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to prepare and communicate vision on strategic topics and adapt to various levels within the organization in order to reach broader audiencesAbility to establish credibility, while dealing with conceptual and complex topicsProficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position.
