Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Intern – Inside Sales/Warehouse Trainee at our Kamloops, BC location. The selected candidate will be part of our Applied Scholarship Program.

MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

We are seeking dedicated students who are interested in building a lasting relationship with us by returning year over year for Summer terms with the ultimate goal of employment after graduation.

As part Applied’s Scholarship Program, at the end of each successful term the selected student will receive a scholarship award for their hard work. Upon returning each year and successfully completing a subsequent term, that award will increase in value!

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The overall purpose of the role Inside Sales/Warehouse Trainee is to develop technical knowledge of Applied’s product offering in areas such as bearings, belts, sheaves, bushings, roller chains, adaptors, etc and to develop proficiency in our end to end sales processes. They will play an integral role in helping our customers Achieve Superior Performance!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop sound understanding of Applied’s processes, product offerings, clients, and markets
• Receiving and shipping all branch product in an accurate and timely manner
• Sort material, stock shelves, pick orders, package and label materials
• Organize and maintain all applicable records and files
• Respond to customer inquiries (walk-in, phone, and email)
• Enter and process orders in SAP
• Help put stock away and assist with cycle counts
• Other tasks as required

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary program such as Technical Diploma or Bachelors Degree
• Naturally mechanically inclined & technical aptitude

• An interest in learning new skills and pursuing a career in Technical Sales

Wage will vary based off experience: $18.00-$21.00/hour
