The successful intern will work as part of a team to design, develop, test, and release this software in accordance with their interests and team needs.What You Will Do:Learn, develop, test, and release code relating to data design, data import and export, external APIs, AWS infrastructure development as neededParticipate in developer quality assurance activities, including writing unit testsAttend and contribute to software design meetingsPresent on areas of interest to software team membersPresent a midterm and end of term summary of accomplishments and lessons learnedInternship Term Dates:January 2025 – April 2025Expected Work Schedule:Day/1st -Shift (40 – hours weekly)What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)Minimum 3.0 GPA (without rounding)Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited university or collegeOne semester experience programming in PythonWhat Will Make You Stand OutExperience with Microsoft Visual Studio CodeExperience developing in PythonExperience developing in C#Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including at least design, development, quality assurance, and developer operationsExperience working as a part of a team, especially geographically-distributed teamsSuccess working with clients as a representative of a business or corporationStrong writing, speaking, and communication skillsBenefits Available to you:Addressing the climate crisis is an urgent global priority, and at GE Vernova, we take our responsibility seriously.
