About the opportunity:We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and dynamic intern to join our growing team as a Revenue Development Representative (RDR) Intern. As an RDR Intern, you will have the invaluable chance to contribute to driving our company’s growth by gaining hands-on experience in generating and qualifying leads, managing inbound inquiries, and supporting outbound sales activities. Throughout your internship, you will focus on learning the ropes of identifying potential customers, initiating contact, and nurturing relationships to ultimately convert leads into qualified contacts for our sales team.What you’ll get to do:1. Inbound Lead Management:
- Observe and assist in monitoring incoming leads from various sources, including phone and website inquiries, marketing campaigns, and events.
- Gain exposure to responding promptly to inbound inquiries, understanding initial information, and assessing their potential as qualified leads.
- Learn to assist in qualifying leads based on predefined criteria and prioritizing follow-up actions effectively.
2. Outbound Activity for Lower Segment Verticals:
- Participate in outbound prospecting activities, which may include shadowing cold calling, emailing, and social outreach efforts, to generate new leads within targeted lower segment verticals.
- Observe the process of tailoring messaging and value propositions to resonate with the specific needs of each vertical.
3. Data Enrichment:
- Collaborate with the team to observe research techniques and how relevant information about leads and prospects is gathered to enhance data quality in our CRM system.
- Assist in updating and maintaining accurate contact details, company information, and other pertinent data in Salesforce.
4. Territory Account Research:
- Gain exposure to collaborating with sales and marketing teams to observe the process of identifying and researching potential accounts within assigned territories.
- Learn how online resources and tools are utilized to gather insights and intelligence on target companies and their key decision-makers.
5. Salesforce Updates:
- Observe and contribute to ensuring accurate and timely updates of lead interactions, account activities, and notes in Salesforce.
- Learn about the importance of regular data review and cleansing to maintain database hygiene and accuracy.
6. Lead Conversion:
- Experience the process of nurturing leads through consistent communication to build relationships and qualify their interest and fit for our solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to observe how qualified leads are transitioned into the sales pipeline as viable opportunities.
7. Metrics and Reporting:
- Gain exposure to maintaining accurate records of lead interactions, outreach efforts, and progress in generating qualified leads.
- Observe how regular reports on key performance metrics, including lead conversion rates and outbound activity results, are prepared.
