The firm is seeking a talented Intern Architect to join their team. In this role, you will contribute to all phases of design and project delivery while honing your technical and creative skills. This position is ideal for someone with 5-9 years of experience who is looking to expand their portfolio with high-impact, complex projects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Collaborate with senior architects to develop and refine design concepts, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and permit applications using Revit and other tools.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Construction Administration: Participate in site reviews, respond to RFIs, and assist with contract administration tasks.
  • Code Compliance: Apply knowledge of BC building codes, municipal bylaws, and permitting processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Sustainability: Integrate sustainable design principles into projects to meet environmental and performance goals.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A professional degree in Architecture and registration as an Intern Architect with the AIBC (or eligibility).
  • 5-9 years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio of civic, multifamily, and mixed-use projects; international experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential; additional skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools are a plus.
  • Strong design and technical skills, with experience in construction documentation and detailing.
  • Knowledge of BC building codes and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Contract Administration Experience
  • A passion for creating meaningful, community-focused architecture.
